Fredericksburg, VA–ILM Corporation is pleased to announce it has been named to the 2017 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. Growing over 164% in the last three years, ILM is ranked number 2,219 out of 5,000.
Providing document conversion and management services such as document scanning, indexing and microfilm digitization, ILM serves federal and state agencies as well as corporate clients. Founded in 1976 and locating to the Fredericksburg area in 1978, ILM is a family owned business that was taken over by Jason Cohen in 2001. The company moved to Lafayette Blvd in 2012 and is moving to a new office building being constructed at Cowan Crossing in the first quarter of 2018.
Being recognized for this achievement is a meaningful milestone that ILM is on the right path. Cohen was awarded the 2013 Virginia Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. ILM continues to invest in its staff by providing an excellent work environment and training that ensures that we stay on top of our game. ILM’s belief is that dedicated and happy employees will in turn help its clients to achieve success. Some of ILM’s current and past clients include U.S. Dept. of State, Dept. of Homeland Security, Federal Election Commission, Capital One Bank, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Old Dominion University and the States of Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Alaska.
Much of ILM’s success is due to being located in the City of Fredericksburg. Geographically close to Washington, D.C., there is a very talented and educated pool of employees from which to draw. The City also has several programs designed to help small business succeed. ILM has been fortunate enough to be able to participate in them as well as many resources for business financing, real estate, and technology infrastructure.
Being in business for more than 40 years, the Cohen family and ILM has had its share of highs and lows. Through grit and determination, they have been able to weather the storms, learn from past mistakes and plan and invest for the future.
